CSD Research Labs

A variety of exceptionally well-equipped laboratories support faculty and student research activities. As examples, some of the laboratories focus on normal communication development, performance, and processes, others support research on psychosocial or neurophysiological aspects of a range of communication disorders, and still others seek to increase our understanding of how to improve interventions for people with communication impairments.

In addition to the current research labs listed on the left, two new research labs are planned:

• Neural Development of Communication and Cognition (planned for Fall, 2009), Director, Dr. Christy Ludlow (arriving Fall, 2009)
• Stuttering Research Lab (planned for Fall, 2008), Director, Dr. Kia Johnson (arriving Fall, 2008)
