Ph.D. student lands prestigious post-doctoral position

Danika DiPalma Pfeiffer, a Ph.D. candidate, has secured a postdoctoral research position at Kennedy Krieger Institute. She will be working with Rebecca Landa, the founder and director of the Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD) and the REACH research program at Kennedy Krieger Institute. Landa is also a professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

Danielle Moss, a Ph.D. student in communication sciences and disorders, has been selected to be a participant in ASHA’s Minority Student Leadership Program (MSLP) Class of 2018.
Carol Dudding chairs CAPCSD appointed task force

The Board of the Council for Academic Programs in Communication Sciences and Disorders (CAPCSD) recently announced the availability of a guide entitled, “Best Practices in Healthcare Simulations in Communication Sciences and Disorders”. This guide was completed by an appointed CAPCSD task force, chaired by Dudding. Members also included David Brown, Julie Estis, Carol Szymanski, and Richard Zraick.

Chelsea Woodard, a student in the online master’s program in speech-language pathology, was recently named Vice President for Academic Affairs of the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA) executive council.
