·         Academic Conduct:  It is expected of the course participants to adhere to strict academic honesty.  Any act of dishonesty will be strongly penalized, including reporting to higher authorities and failure in the course.

·         Inclement Weather:  In case of inclement weather the class will be scheduled per directives from the University communications.  The weather-related information is posted on the JMU official website.

·         Class attendance:  Although attendance is not recorded, students are expected to attend every class.  History has shown that regular classroom attendance is strongly related to performance in the class.  Absences due to emergency situations do not need to be communicated to the instructor, unless it directly impacts the student’s performance on a class related task (e.g., an exam, project or assignment due date).  In these exceptions, students are required to document the cause for their absence.
